Prof. (Dr.) Abha Majumdar is an insatiable learner and a visionary whose career has been dedicated to the science of creating life. In 1991, she led the team that delivered Northern India’s first IVF baby at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Her philosophy prioritizes not just medical treatment, but the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of her patients.

Academic Brilliance

Dr. Majumdar’s academic journey is one of the most distinguished in the medical field:

• MBBS Topper: Secured 1st position in the batch at S.N. Medical College, Agra.
• Gold Medalist: Recipient of 7 Gold Medals, 8 Book Prizes, and 7 Silver Medals.
• Chancellor’s Medal: Awarded for being the best student of the University.
• President’s Silver Medal (1975): Awarded for being the Best Girl Medical Graduate.

• 1981 – 1986: Specialist Grade 1, Central Referral Hospital, Misurata, Libya.
• 1987: – Joined SRGH as Consultant Obs. and Gynae.
