Prof. (Dr.) Abha Majumdar has been associated with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist since 1987. After leading the Centre of IVF & Human Reproduction as its Director and Head for many years, she now serves as Advisor to the Centre, contributing her extensive expertise through clinical guidance, academic leadership, research mentorship, and the advancement of evidence-based fertility care.
Having been attached to the centre since its inception in 1990, Dr. Majumdar led the team responsible for North India’s first IVF baby in 1991. Furthermore, she achieved the region’s first frozen oocyte baby in 2009.
